From Vision to ACTS

Andy's vision was to automate the delivery of dry bulk products and overcome problems normally associated with the delivery cycle. The system was created to provide:

Owners of transportation companies are constantly searching for ways to improve service to their customers and make their companies more competitive. Having a driver "baby-sit" a pneumatic tanker for 45 minutes, or more, while it is unloading was a prime target for efficiency improvements. Furthermore, to improve logistics management it made sense to develop a system that would allow all appropriate parties to view real-time inventory levels in silos.

The Automated Cargo Transport System was developed and patented by Andy Hynick, a veteran of the dry bulk transportation industry. After two years of intensive development and testing Andy achieved his goal to automate the pneumatic tanker unloading process and create a real-time inventory management system.

This patented automated delivery system has now been in service since 2001 and has dramatically improved the logistics and profitability of the dry bulk delivery cycle. The system offers significant benefits for both the hauler and the receiver of dry bulk products.

Automated Cargo Transport Systems (ACTS) was formed with strategic business partners, who are leaders in the design, manufacture and servicing of control systems. These partners have over 100 years of experience in silo level controls and automation systems. ACTS focuses 100% of its efforts and resources on automatic pneumatic tanker unloading systems and providing real-time inventory management systems.
